Whenever I open up Firefox my Pageflakes account opens up and displays my current subscribed feeds. This is my daily ritual and sometimes when I’m bored online, I’ll keep refreshing it hoping that one of the sites on there has updated knowing that I’m over here waiting for something new to read and comment to.

Here’s some of the sites that I religiously read:

Even though I currently love all the sites I’m subscribed to, I’ve been looking for something new to me. No offense to any of the sites I listed above.. I just need some new styles and content to read and be obsessed with.

Leave some comments with your top 5 favorite feeds, or maybe link me with some feeds/sites you think I should look into. I’m up for anything. Also, if you post a few links and your comment goes into moderation, no worries–I’ll approve it when I see it!

On another note, I saw TMNT today. What it lacked: The official theme song, realistic human figures, the lack of age on the characters, the fact that it was CG and that I still know the real voices of the dudes. Nothing will ever beat the movie I grew up with, and that was the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I had toys, sheets, shirts, and Burger King Kid’s Club VHS tapes.

I love the internet.

Edit 3/22/07 @ 7:49pm – Thanks to Malin for being a sweetheart and letting me know that my comments weren’t working. I activated No WWW and left to go out with a friend and forgot to change around some of the settings, which caused the problem. Woopsie Doodle!

Paola (thislife.nu) wrote an entry, “Gramatically Speaking,” that literally had be LOL’ing and wondering why people resort to using swear words and threats to get their point (as if she had one to make).

She had been talking about ladired.com‘s website and essentially how much of an eyefuck (my word not hers) that her grammar knowledge was. Whenever I’ve seen someone read about how poor their website is, they usually make up an excuse to change things around and fix ’em up. Then they try to proclaim that their reasoning had nothing to do with someone else’s comments in regards to their ridiculous site.

But seriously, if you have to resort to calling people bitches, and threatening to report them (lol internet po’leese!), you’re not really helping your cause. You’re furthering people’s opinion on just how ridiculous and most likely unintelligent you are.

But the best about ‘Ladired’ is that in her post “Inspirational,” she writes about how beautiful this song “Yesturday” is but still fails to spell it right even when she copy/pastes the lyrics to it, with the title included! Double yew tee eff!

Fliptrack: Put your life… or cats, to music.

I have a few friends online that are absolutely obsessed with cat meme’s and macros to the point where a lot of their internet time revolves around looking for new pics. I admit, I’m a bit of a sucker for the cat marcos too, but one of them wanted me to make a video of just cat marcos with a ridiculous song playing as the background music. I told them to go ahead and go to YTMND to do it, but they’re lazy.

I had no idea where to look to get my grubby hands on something to edit/create videos or a slideshow since I don’t have anything on my computer right now to do that. So somehow during my googling I came across fliptrack.com, which according to the site it’s a tool (program really, Windows only though!) that will allow me to match images with the rhythm and lyrics of a song. Though according to the FAQ I cannot use my own music for it, due to legalities and whatnot.. But it’s understandable, as I wouldn’t want to get hit with some MPAA or RIAA bs.

I have a bunch of Caturday pictures to put up in a video, so I went ahead and downloading Fliptrack‘s [Windows] software to create the video. Things look pretty easy at first because the interface was pretty self explanatory, but I ended up coming across a bit of a road block. I was trying to add their licensed song for the Ying Yang Twins to use, but I keep getting errors when downloading the song to the program to use. So I’ve yet to make the video for it. I’m tried to submit the error report via their program, but that failed as well so I’m going to find their contact information to find out what’s the problem.

Fliptrack’s demo will show you exactly what the site is capable of. I’m not big on creating my own videos, but honestly as cheesy as this sounds I’m sure my mom won’t mind using this. She used to make VHS slide shows manually. She would play a tape (yes, tape) on the radio, and the slide show maker was basically this video camera that recorded sound and the photos you put into the slots. It was ridiculous and yet looking back at it now, it’s amazing how much technology has changed things from my childhood.

Oh, and expect the Caturday video I’m making soon as this works; It won’t be that amazing, but full of some of my favorites!

Why I still use Payperpost.

The past two days I’ve actually participated in writing up some entries for Payperpost. I know I’ve complained about it in the past, but seeing as though I have extra time I figured why not make a few posts. I’m not going to post 5 entries (after 5 non-ppp entries.) I’m going to do one post-per-day. So far I’ve made about $47, and I have another $20.50 coming in once their dates hit.

Since there’s a 30 day wait limit, I figured to see something coming in daily, why not just do one post a day, that way once I hit the thirty mark for the first entry, every day after that I should get paid, pending how quickly posts get approved. But regardless of getting paid, I think one of the biggest advantages of ppp is the blog marketing aspect of it. With the links you’re using in your entries, you’ll be able to increase your page, alexa and technorati ranking. I realize that people will disagree with using PPP for such a thing, but for someone like me, I chose to only take PPP opportunities that I can personally relate to and offer more of an honest opinion.

Don’t expect me to write about doing your taxes with some software only for the UK area, that’s for sure! But despite my many complaints about it, I’ve come to the conclusion that as long as it’s interesting, something that’s not complete and utter crap, and done in moderation than it’s okay to do.

With the money I’ll be getting in for it, I probably will end up using it to pay for various bills I have, and also for leisure spending. Since I’m no longer frugal with my money, it’ll most definitely go towards a few things on ebay I’ve had my eye on getting for awhile, and probably going to see more movies. I kind of like the idea of going to the movies every weekend, and even just one post, would cover the cost for one ticket (and possibly even 1/4 of another ticket if I’m feeling gracious enough to “donate” some to Mark!)

Occasionally I will come across a driver that is so hellbent on giving me the bird and letting me know they hate my guts by doing the craziest thing ever: following me for a few miles, and scaring the absolute piss out of me.

Every day at 1:35pm I leave my house to go to the town over to pick up my youngest sister and two other kids from grade school. Every day I hop onto i80 for about 4 miles and then get off at the next exit to head north on that street, and then for another 1/2 mile to the school.

Today I was on the ramp to get onto i80, behind a pick up truck, a car, and a cement truck. After getting onto the right lane, I decided that I hated that lane and needed to be going faster (55mph wasn’t sufficing my need for speed apparently.) So I waited for the semi in the middle lane to go passed my car so I could get behind it. I went ahead and switched lanes behind the semi, and I look over to my right and see the pick up truck guy flicking me off and without a doubt yelling obscenities at me. I gave him the bird back because, well, I had to.

So he ends up getting two lanes over into the left lane where I’m at, so that annoys me so I just sped up and passed a few other cars and went along my merry way. After I got off of i80 and while I was merging on the northbound road, I noticed he was getting off too. I didn’t think much of it since a lot of people use i80 to bypass sidestreets.

So I’m waiting at a different intersection so I could turn left when he was behind me yet again, and apparently even more pissed off at me for something I didn’t do. So Im driving northbound on the next road and behind few other cars when he speeds up and decides to ride my ass and flick me off yet again. The school was coming up soon, so I decided to turn right onto it, and he was behind me. No longer a coincidence I started to panic, so I called up my dad to ask him what I should do, all while I’m turning onto other side streets in the neighborhood and seeing that he’s still following me. I was about to turn back onto the main road to head on over to the police station but he ended up turning onto a different side street.

Just yesterday I had to deal with some old hag being so annoyed that I cut her off (when essentially I didn’t, I just didn’t let her get in front of me in the right turning lane) that she called the cops to complain about me and “followed” me to the school. It’s not really following if the destination is the same, but I digress. Either way, a cop was already at the school for DARE so he came up to me to mention someone complained and other bullshit. I had my sister go out to her car to get the license plate number, since she was in the row over waiting for her kid (or grandkid, seeing as she looked ridiculously old and haggard) and she approached her and said “What, does your sister have a problem with me? I called the cops on her and two of them followed her here.” HA! What a whore. Now my duty to annoy the crap out of her whenever I see her. Scowls, nasty comments, and of course, cutting her off, are now on my daily to-do list.

emote Needless to say I’m really annoyed with asshole drivers, especially if you call the cops expecting something to happen or if you follow my car. Maybe I should get the Driving LED Emoticon to better express my deep hatred, and annoyance for other drivers. Too bad it doesn’t include a line like “You asshole,” “Fuck off,” “Plz2die” and other comments. Though I could settle for “Back Off,” and “Idiot.” Knowing my luck this would further cause chaos and you’ll end up reading some article on the internet about an attack against a young girl with an obscene LED that pissed off some crazy wacko.
