Goodbye Superbowl dreams.

Well, tonight didn’t end how I (and just about all of Chicago/Illinois) would have wanted to. The first quarter of the game, we had high hopes of beating the Colts and taking home a ring. After Benson screwed up it just went downhill from there. Add on the horrible moves that Rex Grossman did in the third quarter, which was a bit embarrassing. Needless to say I’m not happy, and if I hear one more person from IN/KY mention the Bears losing to me, I will go crazy.

Baseball season will be starting soon, so maybe the White Sox will make me feel better by winning around World Series; I’ve got to make up for this loss somehow. Oh yeah, 10 more days until Valentine’s Day. I need to figure out what I’m going to do, since Nicolle (my little sister) ruined one of the little surprises for Mark.

the wind stings my cheeks

Once again, I get to experience and remember how awful the Chicago winters are. The past couple of days the temperature has dropped well below 32 degrees Fahrenheit, hell, right now it’s about -3 degrees outside. It’s the kind of cold that makes my bones and joints ache beyond belief; Like right now, my left thumb (that I broke about 6-7 years ago) is aching a lot and driving me crazy.

Anyway, right now I’m over at Mark’s house just watching him play Zelda: Twilight Princess on the Wii. I’m just surfing the net, not really anything special. Hmm, or wait, I think he’s going to want me to play Wario Ware with him, so I best be off.

Blogathon 2007

One of the sites I visit daily, Jenny’s moosh.nu recently had an entry talking about a Blogathon 2007. Since I could always use a better reason to blog every day, I decided to go ahead and participate with it. Starting tomorrow I’ll be making one post a day, for a month until March 3rd. This is going to be interesting and fun, as I definitely plan to actually do some articles, as opposed to just blogging about my life.

I also really need to make some touches to this theme. I’m viewing it on my laptop right now and the background image looks horrible. There’s still a few bugs in IE7 but I’m not going to worry about them just yet. I’ve got a few things on my plate right now to take care of so I’ll worry about that last.

Site traffic has picked up since I implemented the tags system. It’s definitely awesome to see how something so simple has increased searches and traffic. With that being said, I’m going to make sure I go through all of my entries to make sure they have tags. Oh, I also got the tag issue resolved. I just had to update UTW to the latest version since there was a bug with it and WP2.1.

Cupcakes, frosting, and a new theme.

Well, after having the problems with the Fauna theme, I needed to get something new up and running and quick. The base of this theme is from Squible, but I’m coming across an issue. When someone adds a new comment, for some reason I lose the tags for that entry. I’m trying to figure out if it has anything to do with the ajax commenting system set up. So I’ll have to either remove it (since I don’t really need it) or find out if something else is causing the problems. Other then that I’ve also customized it to my liking, though there’s still a few more things I need to add to the bottom panels then I’m done.

Right now I’m trying to find a frosting recipe for cupcakes I’m making right now. Mark is on his way over, since I want to see him, and because I didn’t invite him over last night when I made dinner. I also need to rummage through the fridge to try to find something to cook, since we’re running down to bits and pieces of food. Mark’s super picky, so this will be interesting. Well, off to shower and take more aspirin. I’ve had the worst shoulder pain all day today, and it’s getting even worse.

Fauna theme screwed up my RSS feeds.

So I’m finally getting around to fixing some issues I’ve had with WordPress here on atourworst.org. For some reason after I upgraded to 2.1, Fauna RC 1 decided to fuck up my feeds and various other elements of wordpress. So right now I’ve switched to an old them I’ve used before just so I can get my feeds fixed, because I know SOME people view it (and they’ve been dropping like flies probably thinking that I haven’t been updating lately, unfortunately that hasn’t been the case.)

I’m currently working on my new side project that’s related to Virb, as well as working on a design for a client. I should have that done in a few more minutes, or sometime tomorrow.
