  • i really hate cockroaches

We might’ve found a house to move into soon. It’s out in the Heights area, has three bedrooms but one bathroom (I figured it can’t be too hard to deal with since my family had a 3b 1br for the longeset time until my dad remodeled it), and a fenced in backyard. The guy wants $800 a month for it, and to move in wants the first and last months rent.

Cassie doesn’t know if the place comes with appliances, but I really hope it does, because I’d be interested in it–very interested in it, since I’m dying to get back into my own place. It’s so hard trying to hang out with someone when all you can really do is drive around and find something else to do. I like being able to have people over at my house, so they don’t have to find somewhere to hang out, and so we can just do random shit for free, as opposed to paying for random shit.

Well, I also registered for school. Though I’m not sure if I’ll be able to make the Aug-Dec semester or not. I’d really love to, but I might just wait until January, even though I really want to go back now. I applied at a community college, since I felt that it would be financially better for me to do that. I guess I’m still going to stick with Computer and Information Science Technology which would earn me an associate’s in Applied Science. I’m not going to go full-time, but rather part-time. Maybe take 3-5 credit hours worth. Hopefully I can manage English, Math, and a Elective (IT). Gotta call up the college to get more information on what i need to do, and if it’s still possible to get registered and ready for this semester. I’m kind of nervous about it–I haven’t been in school since early 2004. It’s been awhile for me :

  • HI MOM AND DAD

So I log into wordpress and I see some new comments. Two from Gregory and one from an Elda. And I say “an Elda” because I wasn’t sure if it was who I thought it was or not. Upon checking slimstat, I see that someone searched for “Jordan Miskowicz” on yahoo, and then I checked out the comment in wordpress, and sure enough it was my mom that left the comment. 🙂

Happy Birthday Mommy, because I know you’re going to stalk this website now 🙂

  • Work, and other.. stuff.. or not..

The past day or so I managed to stir up some “shit” if you can call it that, which was a huge misunderstanding by the other party. Quite frankly, I also felt the drama-queen vibes rolling off of it to, but I’ll let this individual stand on their high horse and have fun with it.

I just don’t get why this person also felt the need to bring in my hosting company and threatened that s/he could’ve said some “bad stuff” about it. What are you going to complain about, that I answered every one of your tickets you created, or that I even went out of my way to help with issues that didn’t even pertain to my services (wordpress). Rem said that I shouldn’t do the free hosting to certain individuals anymore, and I suppose that’s what I’ll have to do.

The reason I gave them hosting wasn’t to advertise for HF, but rather because I enjoyed them as a person, and I felt that they deserved some hosting space if they either A.) Were having problems with their current host, B.) Needed to just get a new change of scenery.

Other then that, I’m working on a new design for HF right now. I’ve also got some new promotional plans in the working (which will be amazing, that’s for sure, or not, but hey!) I’m really happy that things, yet again, are looking well for HF.

  • Ever since I can remember…

Lately I’ve been up to a whole ‘lotta nothing. And I have to admit I’m getting really bored about it. This whole Best Buy situation has left me stressed and overall disappointed with the store I had been in contact with transferring. It’s to the point where I need to scramble around to find another store to go into, because once my old store terminates my number I’ll have to wait 6 months until I can be rehired. So I’ve been applying at Time Warner, CompUSA, and a few other various jobs that I’ve got bookmarked/written down to apply to in-store.

Other then that my other amazing days are filled up with hanging out with Rem and doing whatever. Seriously, all the times we hang out, make up for the previous months being so crappy. I’m so happy that we get along great, and that he’s godawfully cute -insert big dopey cheesy smile- Definitely glad that the days we hang out, are most definitely NOT boring. Things will get even better once I have a stable job back, with a decent cashflow (though I have to admit Holdfire has been doing great this month, and will be even better once alot of clients pay their dues) I’ll be able to get my apartment and I can invite the poor bastard over for dinner, because he’s an awful cook I’m sure. I know the first thing I’m going to make will be my ever-so-awesome Creamy Chicken Enchiladas, with some brownies for dessert. I’m so sweet.

Here a photo I took the other day, when we were at the park:

  • Glock 23

The other day I went shooting for the first time ever. Needless to say it was exhilarating and I can’t wait to go again. I ended up shooting a Glock 23 .40 cal, and a Smith & Wesson .22 cal. I wasn’t too nervous about shooting, but rather really excited. I had wanted to learn how to shoot a few years ago, and almost went with Brian and his dad (then a Sheriff for Cook County Illinois) but for some reason we never made it.

I’m glad that Rem took me shooting, because it was great. I loved the Glock the most because of the way I felt when I pushed the trigger, and the noise it made. The pistol was really easy to shoot, handle, and load. Definitely am considering buying a Glock when I’m able to, that’s for sure.

After shooting Rem and I hung out for a few more hours after that and needless to say, I really had a great day. From shooting, to the park, to the movies–everything was great. Moving to Houston was definitely a good decision. Albeit it was short notice and not very organized, but for what it’s worth, it was definitely a good one. Now on my list to conquer is a job. I’ve been applying to several places I’ve found online, all have been tech support related to kind of make up for Best Buy’s incompetence with getting my transferred into a store.

Since I’ve had alot of free time I’ve been trying to work on Holdfire as well as this site. You may or may not notice but I’ve changed around a few little details in regards to the look of the site (graphics, font) and added a lot of plugins for wordpress. I’m definitely loving them, and I don’t think I’m anywhere near being done with adding them, they’re so damned addicting. I’m also working towards getting more ‘content’ up and pages added… So be on the look out for more inane rambling from me.

  • Mosquitos, hot weather, and… Texas plaques.

Another week has gone by since I last posted, and I can’t say I’ve done much since then. My mom and little sister Nicolle came into town last Tuesday, so that was a bit interesting. Wednesday Morgan (my other) sister flew home, but it was good getting to see my family for awhile. Mom got on my nerves most of the time, mainly doing motherly acts I haven’t been used to in almost two years. She would call me whenever I was out with Rem, and would ask if I took a shower or changed my underwear.

I definitely overused the lines “what the hell?”, “i haven’t lived with you in almost two years!” and “i’m twenty!” more then necessary, but I was trying to prove a point with my mom! Even though she drove me crazy we definitely had some good moments. Went to the Galleria over the weekend; Saw Click and had a blast, and actually enjoyed some of the time with her. I definitely miss Morgan, Nicolle, mom and my dad. I didn’t get to spend too much time with dad, since it was the day I was leaving to drive down to Texas. Hopefully once I get settled I can fly back home to spend more time with them… My sisters have grown up so much since I last saw them a year ago.

I’m starting to become a bit restless though. Haven’t started work yet, and definitely won’t be until after Friday (I’m hoping) so tomorrow I might venture out to Starbucks to fill out an application to work part time, so I can hopefully just pick up some quick hours. The most I’ve gotten accomplished occurred earlier today. Rem and I took care of getting my car’s safety tested and getting it registered in the state of Texas. So I now have TX plates. Oh boy!

Well, time for sleep, I’m exhausted.

  • Don’t mess with Texas … ?

Well, it’s going on day five of me being in Houston, TX. So far I love it. It’s been raining since Saturday though, and looks like it will continue to rain for the rest of the week. I don’t really mind because I love rain, and it just makes me want to stay in doors.

I’m still waiting for a call back from Alex (#216) in regards to what department he’s going to put me in, and what day I will start. This little mini-vacation is lovely and all, but damn I’m getting really bored of just sitting around all day, or spending my money. I hate spending my money.

Not only that but I want to start getting paid money that I will be able to save towards getting my apartment. Since I’ll be living in with my grandparents for awhile, I won’t have to worry about paying for rent, bills, and groceries. Which means the main thing I will be spending my money on for sure will be gas, and of course paying my dad back a little bit of money here and there for helping me out with everything over the years.

Tomorrow I’m not sure what I’m doing but I think Rem and I are going to hang out again, so that will most definitely be some fun right there… But I really don’t know what the fuck there is to do that doesn’t involve spending money. Mebbe I’ll drag him into a BB store with me so I can just check out the place and sneak around it and see how some of the people are at the store I’d be going into.

I know Wednesday is the AMD/Microsoft Tech Tour and we’re definitely going to that one. That is also the day that my lovely mom and little sister fly into town. I’m not looking forward to it that much because my mom has a tendency to drive me absolutely fucking batty. However, it’ll be good to see her since it’s been a year since we last saw each other. I also hope she’ll praise my independence by saying yes to taking me shopping for a few new clothes for work (tan pants, bras, undies) or for whatever occasion.

I also need to get back to working on Holdfire Web Hosting. Today is really the first day since I moved that I’ve been online for more then thirty minutes, but the only thing that’s preventing me from working on it is being on dial up. We’re getting DSL, but it won’t be for a few more days, so hopefully I can try to get some stuff done in the meantime.

Sleep is looking really good right now..

  • Updates for the win

Well I’m in Houston now. It ended up being an extremely long drive due to my car breaking down in Hope, Arkansas around 10:30pm. Got in around 7:30pm on Friday and I have been out and about since then.

I had my interview with the GM on Saturday and it went amazingly well. I got hired into #216 and will hopefully go back into PCHO (I HOPE!).

There’s so much to talk about but I just don’t have the concentration right now. Tonight I ended up hanging out with Rem. Went to go see MI:3 and had some dinner at a queer taco place, I can’t remember the name. Needless to say, lots of fun was had and I can’t wait to have more… fun? ;d

Time for sleep soon. 🙂 Ohhh, I also got a new phone. A Samsung D807. I love it.

  • Today is the day.

I spent most of the day/evening finishing last minute packing, and cleaning of my car because I’m a procrastinator and I wait until the last minute. It’s weird–by this time tomorrow I will either already be in Houston, or somewhere near.

I have a whole new life starting for me.
