Mosquitos, hot weather, and… Texas plaques.

Another week has gone by since I last posted, and I can’t say I’ve done much since then. My mom and little sister Nicolle came into town last Tuesday, so that was a bit interesting. Wednesday Morgan (my other) sister flew home, but it was good getting to see my family for awhile. Mom got on my nerves most of the time, mainly doing motherly acts I haven’t been used to in almost two years. She would call me whenever I was out with Rem, and would ask if I took a shower or changed my underwear.

I definitely overused the lines “what the hell?”, “i haven’t lived with you in almost two years!” and “i’m twenty!” more then necessary, but I was trying to prove a point with my mom! Even though she drove me crazy we definitely had some good moments. Went to the Galleria over the weekend; Saw Click and had a blast, and actually enjoyed some of the time with her. I definitely miss Morgan, Nicolle, mom and my dad. I didn’t get to spend too much time with dad, since it was the day I was leaving to drive down to Texas. Hopefully once I get settled I can fly back home to spend more time with them… My sisters have grown up so much since I last saw them a year ago.

I’m starting to become a bit restless though. Haven’t started work yet, and definitely won’t be until after Friday (I’m hoping) so tomorrow I might venture out to Starbucks to fill out an application to work part time, so I can hopefully just pick up some quick hours. The most I’ve gotten accomplished occurred earlier today. Rem and I took care of getting my car’s safety tested and getting it registered in the state of Texas. So I now have TX plates. Oh boy!

Well, time for sleep, I’m exhausted.

  1. Hmm… Sounds something like what I go through with my dad. We don’t get along what so ever…

Was click any good? I think I’ll wait for it to come out on dvd before I watch it.

Also thanks for all your help so far with my site, hosting, and etc! I felt so bad for leaing support tickets. however I am so confident that I will never have a problem with you being my host. 🙂 Fast, down to earth, and most of all you got the job done. 🙂 Thanks! Thank Rem too!

  2. Oooo… Click! I really want to see that movie. It looks good. Hopefully it is. Me and my dad can drive each other crazy sometimes.. but there’s good times too… so I guess it all evens out.

  3. My mum does annoying motherly stuff too, but even more when i am not at home. The other day i didn’t reply to a text message (by the time i checked my phone it was 2 in the morning) and i didn’t answer her phonecall at 7 in the morning (who gets up that early!?) and she sent me messages and messaged my friends to see where i was, and when i did talk to her she told me that she was about to ring the police (obviously she wasn’t but she does lots of stuff like that!! at least your mum doesn’t do that!!

  4. Well, I guess your mother’s visit had to have had it’s ups & downs. =P Sometimes parents just can’t accept that their child is doing independently well. =T
